Karyn and Tony

On yet another rainy and dreary day this "summer", Karyn and Tony tied the knot at Shilshole Bay Beach Club. Despite the weather, this couple kept their sense of humor the whole time and were an absolute delight to photograph. All the craziness was definitely worth it because we were rewarded by a rain-free reception and a gorgeous rainbow that appeared near sunset. That was the highlight of the day....that, or Tony's dancing....it's a close call. :)

Aleah and Aires

On the most popular wedding day of the year, (8.8.08, of course) Aleah and Aires exchanged vows in front of a few hundred of their nearest and dearest. I have worked with a number of Aleah and Aires' friends over the past few years, so I knew this was going to be be a fun bunch. And this couple did not disappoint.....which is why I had them leaping and jumping all over the UW campus AND why I included three, yes three, shots of them airborne below. I was just so impressed by the height they got!! :)

Meet Sarah Severson

Several months back, I received an email with the subject line, "Oh my God, absolutely stunning!"
That was my sweet introduction to Sarah Severson, an AMAZING singer and songwriter originally from Seattle and now living in L.A.
Sarah was looking for a photographer for her upcoming wedding to her adorable sweetie, Mark, and she is a fan of my work, (hence the very flattering email subject line.) Well, after going to her MySpace page and listening to some of her songs, I am a fan of hers as well. Her voice is gorgeous and her list of influences reads like my own I-pod, (I share a lot of her musical favorites, to say the least.) Seriously, check her out. She has a new album coming out next year, and I will be first in line to buy it.

Sarah needed some new publicity photos and gave me creative freedom to do whatever I wanted, so I thought I would share some of those shots here.

By the way, Mark and Sarah's wedding was yesterday and it was fantastic! Look for those photos in a future post.

Liz and Karim

Liz and Karim were fun and wacky from the start, (two of my favorite qualities in clients.)
With the talented Wendi from Ethereal Events, this couple put on a great party. Their ceremony took place at the lovely Parson's Gardens on Queen Anne and the celebration continued at the super cool Uptown Hideaway, (on lower Queen Anne, right above Crow.) I had never been there before, but I recommend it for people looking for an intimate, loft-like venue. Herban Feast provided the yummy catering, (always good) and guests had a great time with the photobooth Liz and Karim rented.

Congrats to you both!!
